Unique Batch No. 3 - Wildflower (Sold out)

It never ceases to amaze me actually how different each of these batches of honey are. This is Nectar Honey's second Wildflower release and because of the change in season and subsequent change in floral blooms - this honey has a beautifully different flavour. The way I would describe it is sweet and buttery.

This honey was our first batch of 2017, collected on Friday the 6th of January. The flowers in bloom at the time were a combination of Marri flowers (Corymbia Calophylla) and an assortment of smaller flowering plants including the native Golden Wattle (Acacia Pycnantha).

This honey has a smooth, yet thick consistency and the taste reminds us of buttery homecooked sweets.

The beekeeper for this batch was our number one keeper, James. The bees were fairly active this time and keen to keep an eye on what he was up to. Three stings this time but he is still going strong! A piece of cake and cup of tea with Cindy certainly helped ease the pain!
